About the Author
Annette K. Anderson was born on 10 July 1962 in country New South Wales, Australia, and now lives in South East Queensland.
With more than twenty years of experience teaching in both primary and secondary schools, Annette has spent much of her life encouraging children and young people to learn, explore and discover. She has a strong belief in lifelong learning and in the important role that books and reading play in developing curiosity, imagination and a love of learning.
Annette is the mother of three adult children and the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren. Her family, her years as a teacher and her love of children’s literature have all helped inspire her interest in writing stories for young readers.
Creativity has always been an important part of Annette’s life. She enjoys writing, drawing and painting, as well as reading and cooking. Through her stories, she hopes to encourage children to use their imaginations, enjoy the wonder of books and develop a love of reading that will stay with them throughout their lives.
Annette’s preferred writing style is rhyme, and she has long enjoyed writing Australian bush poetry and other poems in the same traditional style.
